Our cute-as-a-button Summer Love Hut provides a fun and comfortable alternative to camping and is often booked by our wedding couples for their wedding night so they can be with their camping friends around the stone circle fire pit at the centre of the camping field once the barn has closed at midnight.Get your friends to bring their acoustic instruments and sing the night away while looking at the stars. There is no light pollution here and this means you can see the milky way on a clear night. We supply wood for this for the Saturday night only.
Middle Coombe Farm has a thatched cider barn with a huge, restored & working cider press (used for community cider pressing days). Open beams show the building and thatch structure in this completely authentic cob building. Our cider barn was originally a threshing barn so has large doors which open up to reveal incredible views of the woodlands. The cider barn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and is great for smaller wedding feasts.
Our new addition stands just outside the cider barn and enables 100 guests to be seated for their wedding food. Hog roasts work exceptionally well here and keep all your guests well fed and happy. This marquee has swags on the ceiling and back wall and has two brass chandeliers providing adequate lighting for your evening celebrations. The front panels can be opened up to further expose the beautiful views.
The 220 acres of sustainably run woodland create an extra wonderful dimension to our special venue. We have an ancient oak tree ceremony site complete with log benches to seat 70 people with plenty of room standing. Two canopies provide shade and you are surrounded by birdsong, trees and our herd of wild red deer.
